In 2020 I created Cytokine Records, my independent record label for experimental electronic music. It grew from my passion for exploring sound through recording, synthesis and transformation, and for sharing these experiments with curious listeners and artists looking for music to inspire their own creative practice. All my official releases can be found under the artist's name ' Sara Zamboni Music '
Why use my own name rather than an alias? I see an artist as someone with multiple facets and channels of expression. Although I am a classically trained musician and composer, electronic music is an equally important part of my artistic practice. I don't see these different approaches as separate identities, but as different ways of exploring sound, music and creativity.
A Little Curiosity
My electronic music is deeply inspired by movement. Many of these works have been used internationally in dance and movement education, where their different textures, evolving rhythms and atmospheres open up a range of creative possibilities.
